About Us

Bryce and I met in Ketchikan, Alaska in May of 2012. We started talking in May of 2013 and started to date in early June of 2013. I went to BYU in Provo, Utah and he was at Utah State in Logan, Utah. We spent a semester commuting to see each other on the weekends and holidays. On Halloween Bryce proposed with a box of See's chocolates while we were watching The Nightmare Before Christmas. I said yes and we planned our wedding in 2 months, tying the knot on New Years Eve of 2013. Now we live in Logan, Utah where we go to school. We plan on going back to Alaska for the summers to work and make money for school. And most importantly, we are head over heels in love for each other! This is our love story, and the beginning of our very own Happily Ever After.

Spring Break and all that Jazz

This week was our Spring Break here at Utah State! But, Bryce and I just stayed here in Logan. Why you may ask? We really did want to go somewhere, even just to Provo for a few days, or California for the week, but we stayed for a few reasons and it's all worked out for the best. Bryce was scheduled to work Monday night and Friday night for about 5 hours each, but he was able to pick up 2 more shifts which made it a little more worth our while. Also, I'm a sub here in Cache Valley for both school districts.  I hadn't been able to get a single job though until this week, and I got 2!
On Thursday morning I got woken up by a phone call asking if I could sub last minute. For the short notice they gave me an extra 20 bucks, which was nice! So I spent a few hours at a local elementary school teaching 2nd graders, and it was great! Then at the end of the day I got another call asking if I could sub at Skyview High School the next day. It was early release so I got out at 1:25 but I had to wake up at 6:30 to teach at 7:30. But, it was all worth it. We were able to make a little extra money between Bryce's extra shifts and my own, which was nice.
On Tuesday we did a double date with Bryce's friend, and coworker, Brit and his girlfriend Camille. We had cilantro-lime shrimp tacos. Then we played some games and watched the movie Gravity. None of us really liked the movie, but it was better then we thought it would be at first. Overall though, the night was really fun! And we really enjoyed their company. We're going to have to do it again sometime soon :)
This week we also did a little bit of shopping from wedding money. We had to wait a little while to get on our feet, but were finally able to do some. We ordered the band for my wedding ring which should be here by the end of the month! We also got Bryce a new watch that he's had his eye on. A local sporting goods store is moving locations and so the Nixon watches were on sale for 25% off-AKA the best deal we were going to find on it in brand new condition (never worn actually). He was really excited and spent the whole morning setting it up and playing with it. It was fun watching him :)
I know that I keep promising car pictures, but I always end up blogging while Bryce is at work...so maybe next week! I promise you though, our car looks great! And we love it still. I hope everyone else had just as good of a week as we did! And to top it off, tonight we are doing date night! Can't wait! Bryce is in charge :)

  1. Hahaha, we thought Gravity was stupid. Sandra Bullock rocks, but the movie itself was dumb. :)
